In
1906, the Southwestern master architect Henry C. Trost designed a home
for the chief clerk of the Calumet and Arizona Mining Company. The C.
& A. Mining Company later became the owners of the home and used
it as a guesthouse for important visitors. The present owners of this
Spanish Mission style home have restored and enhanced the home and
grounds. Grandly spacious rooms, lofty crowned ceilings with unusual
chandeliers, oak and maple flooring and wainscoting, fireplaces,
leaded beveled glass windows, Victorian style wallpaper and antique
furnishings all harken back to an earlier era.
